20 Years of Friendship

In 20 years of friendship,
We laughed and played a lot,
There are so many good memories,
From the time we were tiny tots.

In 20 years of friendship,
We wanted to hang out all the time,
And play games together,
Whether it was at your house or mine.

In 20 years of friendship,
There’s a lifetime of memories we shared,
Like the time you, me, and Ben broke the chandelier,
Or played hide and go seek under some chairs.

In 20 years of friendship,
I can’t recall a day,
When you didn’t make me smile,
From the moment you said “hey”.

20 years of friendship
In 25 years is so rare,
But we got along so well,
We were quite the pair!

In 20 years of friendship,
We never fought a day,
I wish I could talk to you again,
There’s just so much more to say.

20 years of friendship
Was not enough time with you,
For I have to spend the next 80
Wondering what we would have been up to.

But those next 80 years without you
Will be worth the pain,
For I got to spend those 20 years with you,
My best friend for life, Wayne.

Oh my Ravi, that poem and picture is just beautiful. I'm so happy Wayne had such a good friend as you. He was so lucky to have you, and you him. Thank you for all you did for him, and us. I can't wait to see you when you come home. Wayne Sr. got a tatto in memory of Wayne. He had always been against them but he said he had to get this one. We also got a letter from Laura Bush saying how sorry she is for our loss. It's pretty neat. Keep in touch I love you mom
