You're in my every thought

It's almost funny how everything I do reminds me of Wayne. I was playing softball after work and remembered how Wayne taught me how to play baseball when we were little. I was playing tennis the other day and remembered how Wayne used to go to tennis lessons with my sister and me. When I go swimming I can't help but think of all the times we would swim at my place or Mema's. Even everyday little things like answering the phone with a funny voice remind me of Wayne. It's made me realize how much a part of my life Wayne was and still is, and how much I'm going to miss him with everything I do.

20 Years of Friendship

In 20 years of friendship,
We laughed and played a lot,
There are so many good memories,
From the time we were tiny tots.

In 20 years of friendship,
We wanted to hang out all the time,
And play games together,
Whether it was at your house or mine.

In 20 years of friendship,
There’s a lifetime of memories we shared,
Like the time you, me, and Ben broke the chandelier,
Or played hide and go seek under some chairs.

In 20 years of friendship,
I can’t recall a day,
When you didn’t make me smile,
From the moment you said “hey”.

20 years of friendship
In 25 years is so rare,
But we got along so well,
We were quite the pair!

In 20 years of friendship,
We never fought a day,
I wish I could talk to you again,
There’s just so much more to say.

20 years of friendship
Was not enough time with you,
For I have to spend the next 80
Wondering what we would have been up to.

But those next 80 years without you
Will be worth the pain,
For I got to spend those 20 years with you,
My best friend for life, Wayne.

The time Wayne went to the West Coast

This past week, my cousin Rishi visited me here in Cali. All I could remember the whole week was the time Wayne came to visit me in LA in the summer of 2004. We had a blast! Wayne went to the beach everyday while I was at work, and boy did he get sunburned. He was so red and ached so much that it was hard for him to walk. Then came our ultimate life's trip. We had planned for this day ever since Wayne's dad first taught us how to gamble. It was our first trip to Vegas together. We knew we were probably going to leave the city broke, but it didn't matter, we were in Vegas together. We both said that things couldn't get any better from here. We had so much fun that trip, and in the process had crossed off one of our "life's to do list" items. That's definitely one of my fondest memories with Wayne.

My last day with Wayne

This was a picture taken the last day I hung out with Wayne. We were chilling at my house, probably waiting to play some poker. I was trying out my new camera phone, and wanted to set it up so that when Wayne and Ben called, their picture would pop up. Neither of them liked the idea, so they decided to ignore me. When I decided to take a picture anyways, Wayne just had a smirk and Ben went for his normal goofy look. We laughed a lot that day, just like every other day we hung out. Going back home just isn't going to be the same anymore.
